How it all began

Ira's passion for craftsmanship and storytelling through jewelry began during childhood travels in a van with her parents, who sold handmade jewelry at flea markets across Europe, particularly in southern Italy. This unique experience ignited her love for collecting, selling, and styling pieces that have a rich history.

After high school, Ira worked closely with her father, Carlo Amato, who specialized in reproducing Renaissance jewelry and collaborated extensively with prestigious institutions such as The Uffizi Galleries, as well as with theaters and cinema. Through Tharros Bijoux (@tharrosbijoux), her family-owned business, Ira gained invaluable insights into the trade and had the opportunity to collaborate with costume designers and international film productions, including Netflix's "Medici: Masters of Florence" and "Damsel."

A space that evolves

Now, with Ira's new passion project Kosmima, she presents a curated selection of costume jewelry that includes pieces from her family business, artisans worldwide, and vintage collections.

Kosmima aims to be more than just a shop; it is envisioned as a supportive space for artists and artisans to share skills and ideas through workshops, meetings, and exhibitions.
